Every vape runs on a lithium battery. Treated well they are safe; these habits keep them that way.
Charging
- Use the cable that came with the device, or a good USB charger. Avoid cheap fast chargers with no brand.
- Charge where you can see it, on a hard surface. Not on the bed, a pillow or a sofa, and not overnight.
- Unplug it once it is full.
Carrying
- Never carry a loose spare battery in a pocket or bag with keys or coins. Metal across the ends can short it. Use a plastic battery case.
- Do not leave a vape in a car in the sun or near a stove.
- Flying: vapes and spare batteries go in your hand luggage, never in checked bags. Do not use or charge them on board.
Stop using it if
- The battery or device gets hot in your hand, swells, hisses or smells.
- It has been dropped in water.
- The plastic wrap on a removable battery (18650, 21700) is torn: get the battery rewrapped or replaced.
When it is finished
Lithium batteries, including disposables, must not go in a fire. Keep used ones together and drop them at an e-waste collection point.
